It’s Ball Drop Season!!

It’s almost time for our 1st Fund Raiser of the Year…..Our Annual Ball Drop! We are looking for a few awesome volunteers to help us number the golf balls as we gear up for this exciting event. We will be at the Englewood Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Monday 10/13/25 from 6pm – 8pm. Come lend a hand, share some laughs, and be part of the fun that helps make Project Graduation a Success!!!

Project Graduation…. A Drug- and Alcohol- Free Celebration

Graduation is a time filled with pride, a time to celebrate achievements, a time to make plans for the future. Statistically, graduation night is especially dangerous for high school seniors. A night meant for fun can easily turn into a tragedy. Thus, Project Graduation was born. It was established at Lemon Bay High School in 1990 as a way to educate and deter these young adults from drinking or taking illicit drugs while celebrating this special event.

Traditionally, Project Graduation is a FREE event for all of the Lemon Bay High School Seniors due to the gracious donations from our community. Most of the class attends the event which features, a variety of activities, entertainment, prizes, and a variety of food and drinks.

Project Graduation will continue to be held at Englewood United Methodist Church. It will start directly after graduation will continue all night until 5 am the following day.

The benefits of Project Graduation are:

  • Keeps our graduates off the roads on the night of their graduation.
  • Offers a safe option for those who choose to celebrate in this special way.
  • Since its inception, there have not been any drug- or alcohol-related motor vehicle incidents involving members of our graduating classes on graduation night.

How YOU can help

Project Graduation is an all-volunteer organization and supported by our community donations. We need the support of parents and our local businesses to be successful.

Here are some ways you can help:

  • Make a Monetary Donation: Make a tax-deductible monetary contribution of any amount to Project Graduation.

  • Prize Donations: Donate prize items and gift cards for senior raffle giveaways.
  • VOLUNTEER for the event: It takes a small village to throw this kind of party. We could use your help!
